Economics Launches Raftertherm 100 Non Ventilated Roof Rafter Insulation

RAFTERTHERM 55 Integral insulation board system is intended for use in LOFT CONVERSIONS and IMPROVEMENT work; where the external building envelope remains mostly unaltered.
The system is based on the ADL clause. 1b which allows for higher U values in”retained thermal elements” than the normal new build U value of 0.2 W/m2K requirement and on balancing the carbon emission of the proposed loft to that of the notional construction.

The product consists of a 55mm thick PUR board bonded to the ALREFLEX foil/bubble insulation membrane which enhances the thermal performance and provides an integral vapour barrier, which is sealed to the rafters by virtue of the lapping foil flanges.

Both elements of the product have been tested and third party certified in accordance with the BR 443 recommendations.
RAFTERTHERM is not a multifoil but offers any easy and viable alternative to multifoils.
RAFTERTHERM boards are supplied in convenient pre-cut widths to fit into the existing rafter void and spacing providing for a simple single fit fixing operation.
